why it matters

Discord's built-in AutoMod stops at keywords

Discord's native AutoMod blocks keywords and some spam, but it can't time out repeat offenders progressively, check message floods per channel, or explain to your moderators why it acted.

Krypton AutoMod runs a set of rules you switch on individually. Each rule has its own limits, its own action (delete, warn, timeout from 1 minute to 28 days, kick or ban) and its own exempt roles and channels. Strikes stack into stricter punishments, and a mistaken action can be marked as a false positive so it stops counting.
