At Krypton, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Automatically Collected Data
When you interact with Krypton on Discord, we may automatically collect specific data points provided by the Discord API:
- User Information: User ID, Username, Discriminator, and Avatar hash.
- Guild Information: Guild (Server) ID, Name, Member Count, and Role Hierarchy.
- Message Data: Message content is processed in RAM for command execution and Automod scanning. We do not persistent store message content unless explicitly logged by a user (e.g., in a ticket transcript or audit log feature explicitly enabled by the server admin).
1.2 Data Provided by You
- Configuration Data: Settings you apply to the bot (e.g., Welcome messages, Auto-role configurations, custom prefixes).
- Payment Information: Transaction IDs and premium tier status (processed via third-party providers; we do not store credit card details).
- Support Data: Information provided in support tickets for troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information solely for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To operate the bot's core functions (moderation, music playback, role management).
- Personalization: To remember your server-specific settings and preferences.
- Security & Safety: To detect and prevent abuse, raids, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Communications: To inform you about critical updates, security alerts, or changes to this policy.
3. Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.
- Configuration Data: Retained as long as the Bot is in your server. If the Bot is kicked, data may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
- Temporary Data: Message caches for "Snipe" or "Edit Logger" commands are cleared upon bot restart or after a maximum of 24 hours.
- Premium Data: Stored for legal and accounting purposes for up to 7 years.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do NOT sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers solely for the purpose of operating the Service:
- Hosting Providers: (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean) to host our infrastructure.
- Database Providers: (e.g., MongoDB Atlas) to store configuration data securelu.
- Payment Processors: (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, RazorPay) to handle secure payments.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of your location, we extend these key privacy rights to all users:
- Right to Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request the deletion of all your data from our systems.
- Right to Restriction: You can ask us to stop processing your data.

6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
