A channel no real member should ever post in. Spam scripts and self-bots post everywhere, so they post there too, and Krypton softbans them before the spam spreads.
why it matters
Self-bots spam every channel they can see
Compromised accounts and self-bot scripts join a server and paste the same scam link into every channel at once. By the time a moderator reacts, dozens of channels are full of it and members have already clicked.
Honeypot turns that behaviour against them. You create a channel that tells people not to type there. Humans read it and stay out; scripts don't read anything. The moment an account posts in the trap, Krypton bans it with one hour of message deletion, so Discord removes everything it sent in every channel, then unbans it right away so a real person who slipped up can rejoin.

Create the trap channel
Make a text channel like #do-not-type and write in its topic that anyone who posts will be removed.

What is a Discord honeypot channel?
A honeypot is a channel that real members are told not to use. Spam bots and self-bots post in every channel they can see, so they post there too, which identifies them instantly. Krypton then softbans the account, removing its recent messages from the whole server.
Will it ban real members by mistake?
It softbans, not bans: the account is unbanned straight away and can rejoin. Owners, administrators and whitelisted users never trigger it, and you can add anyone else to the bypass list.
What permissions does Krypton need?
Ban Members, and Krypton's highest role must be above the accounts it acts on. Without that it deletes the message and logs the reason instead.
